My personal hat - not for sale
I’ve been wearing hats for about 35-40 years. Over time, the hats begin to show their wear and tear, especially straw hats which are notorious for torn crowns. Actually, the wearers fault for grabbing the hat by the crown to place it on the heard or off. Eventually the straw just breaks. I have many old hats that I quit wearing, but couldn’t seem to throw them away. One day while painting with acrylic paint, i decided not to waste the left over paint after a session, and I just started adding it to a dilapidated, torn hat. Then I realized I had a perfectly good tear in the crown, that could be used, so I painted a coral snake coming out of the hole. A new career in reconditioning old hats, and painting new ones has begun!
